Named after the Mayan deity of earthquakes and movement, the Cabrakan Table explores tension between weight and motion. Its stainless steel surface appears to float above a monolithic stone base, creating a moment of levitation and balance. Hand-carved using Pre-Columbian stone masonry techniques alongside modern machinery, the table brings together the sacred, industrial, and everyday in a single sculptural form.

Cabrakan
A clean linear void runs the length of the stainless steel surface, introducing flexibility into the table’s use. It can hold objects, flowers, or ritual elements, or simply remain open as part of the design. Our Copalli Incense Holder is sized to sit within the center void.
Cabrakan’s carved details draw from ancient temple ornament, dotted glyphs found in Mayan codices, and the riveted columns of the New York subway. These references span different cultures and eras, creating a layered vocabulary where architecture, ritual, and infrastructure meet.
