Ollin is a New York based design studio
by Noel Hernandez & Viktoria Barbo

It began as a deeply personal journey between the two of us exploring our cultural pasts, the forces that shaped them, and the through-lines that spanned the globe to connect them.

Our work looks to bridge the past and future, drawing from myths, materials, and histories to create objects that embody the complexities that shape us. Every piece we create is an exploration of heritage and possibility, born from a desire to craft objects that don’t simply exist in space but transform it.

We named our practice Ollin because it embodies the spirit of transformation and change: a concept central to both ancient Mexica philosophy and our creative practice. For us, it isn’t just a name; it’s a guiding principle. It reflects our commitment to crafting work that moves between worlds, times, and identities, creating objects that are as timeless as they are grounded in personal meaning. Through Ollin, we aim to celebrate the beauty of cultural complexity and the power of design to evoke connection, presence, and transformation.
