Kuaku is a study in strength, posture, and restraint. Its elongated stone base draws from the architecture of Mesoamerican pyramids while its profile evokes the commanding head of a bull. A leather seat introduces warmth and tactility to the monumental form, creating a chair that feels poised between furniture and sculpture.

Kuaku Seat
Named for a Nahuatl word for bull, Kuaku connects a symbol of strength and ritual shared across Mesoamerican and European cultures. Its design draws from the sturdy presence of ancient chairs and the refined geometry of Eileen Gray’s early work.
The base began with the forms of Mexican pyramids, elongated and abstracted until its silhouette suggested a bull’s head. The resulting profile is both architectural and animalistic, giving the chair its distinctive character while maintaining a sense of balance and restraint.
